SoS’ block-printed pieces are created using traditional techniques passed down through generations.  Each design is hand-carved onto wooden blocks and carefully stamped by artisans, making every print a labor of love.  Natural dyes, extracted from plants and other sources, are biodegradable and non-toxic.

Unlike modern block printing with chemical inks, natural dyeing requires a deep understanding of chemistry, weather, and natural elements, along with the mindful, synchronized effort of the craftsperson.  Tiny imperfections are normal and celebrate the authenticity of each handmade piece.
