SoS’ block-printed pieces are created using traditional techniques passed down through generations.  Each design is hand-carved onto wooden blocks and stamped by artisans with care and dedication.  Natural dyes, extracted from plants, flowers, and other natural sources, are biodegradable and non-toxic.

This process differs from modern block printing with chemical inks.  Working with natural dyes requires a detailed understanding of chemistry, weather, and natural elements, along with the mindful and synchronized effort of the craftsperson.  Tiny imperfections are a testament to the authenticity and artisanal quality of each handmade piece.
