Lucid Dream
This dreamy dress features a silhouette to die for, with sheer silk organza on the front and back yoke, accented with a tie-up detail. The two-tier dress is constructed with sixteen panels and a gathered tier at the bottom, complemented by flounce sleeves. Detailed coral motifs are hand-embroidered on the front panels and sleeves using techniques such as Sujani and Kantha, in silk threads of grey and soft pink tones, with the addition of intricate French knots.
This collection showcases an assorted range of textiles and handspun fabrics sourced from Banaras, Islampur, Murshidabad, and quaint villages across India. The embellishments and embroideries are inspired by the works of artist Huguette Caland, with Sujani and Kantha serving as the key embroidery techniques.
