What part of India are you or your family from?
I was born in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, and spent my first 18 years growing up in that beautiful city—those years really shaped who I am. I then moved to South India for my engineering studies for a period of 6 years, and since then, I’ve been based in Gurgaon, a buzzing and ever-evolving city just outside Delhi.
Describe your hometown in three words, what would they be?
Soulful, timeless, and naturally rhythmic.
What's one thing you love most about it?
Growing up in Srinagar, I was surrounded by a kind of beauty that leaves a deep imprint on your soul. The snow-capped Himalayas on the horizon, the still waters of Dal and Nigeen lakes, and the rhythm of daily life that flowed with the seasons—these weren’t just scenic backdrops, they were part of my everyday world.
What's one thing you miss the most?
Even today, no matter where life takes me, Srinagar lives within me—as a feeling, a rhythm, something timeless, and a deep sense of belonging.
Now living in Sweden, I find unexpected moments that remind me of Kashmir—the pristine nature, the silence of snow, the rhythm of seasons—and it brings a quiet comfort. There's a beautiful similarity that makes Sweden feel a little more like home, even though Srinagar will always be my first.
