SoS’ block-printed pieces are created using traditional techniques passed down through generations.  Each design is hand-carved onto wooden blocks and stamped by artisans with care, making every print a labor of love.  Natural dyes are biodegradable, non-toxic, and extracted from plants and other natural sources.

Unlike modern block printing with chemical inks, natural dyeing requires detailed knowledge of chemistry, weather, and natural elements, combined with the mindful, synchronized effort of the craftsperson.  Tiny imperfections are a testament to the authenticity of the handmade process.
